In Bangkok: A Checkpoint To Sukhumvit

Once in Suvarnabhumi, get a ticket for a queued taxi ride
uvarnabhumi is such a tongue-twisting name yet a humungous airport as we arrived a little late past midnight.

Together with multi-cultural passengers, we hurdled the stretch of walkalators, passageways, and immigration queues; ending up in the taxi bay with the color-coded cabs and their unfamiliar writing.

There goes the color-coded AUV, an introductory to the Thai alphabet lesson
Thailand embraced me the moment the taxi driver made his delighted local greeting before zooming onto the open highway. The view outside was still vague in the wee hours of the morning when we made ground to Sukhumvit and checked into our hotel.

A check-in to Ambassador hotel is a check-up to its busy lobby
Paying tribute to his majesty late King Bhumibol.
There's a telling of excitement as I stepped out from the checkpoint and for another, like being part of Exodus assembly. Even the volume of visitors checking in and out of the Ambassador hotel showed me how brisk and booming the tourism industry is in the land of smiles. Stepping away from its spacious receiving area, a small altar for the late king was placed in a corner for a commemorative mourning tribute to the late monarch hero, Outside it's anyone's order to pivot into Sukhumvit with its succession of restos, money changers, 711, inns and street peddlers.

Sunrise with the high risers
The double-decker bus adorned with intricate designs, Thailand's glaring transport mode, was lodged in the parking awaiting group tour participants.  Sunrise touched my skin as we embarked on our navigation towards the most visible reference structure which is the BTS.

Sukhumvit sliced by BTS and traffic, ready for pedestrian mode?
Self-examining the BTS Stations....a baht for a next direction
Buying the first BTS card is a tourist to-do task
Sounds like a Korean group
BTS or the Bangkok Train Station, I guess could be the link rather than the easiest means of transport to the arterial points in Bangkok.  Studying the route map with the main station points before pressing the machine to get the ticket was just as easy as following the directions. Looking inside BTS, some tourists are still in drag with their pieces of baggage, or some locals getting ready for their daily routine activities. Then I realized BTS could offer an alternative transport route as opposed to the taxi which charged us 700 baht the night earlier.

Walkways attached to BTS interconnects establishments across Sukhumvit
Nevertheless, the Sukhumvit stretch is a refreshing district like an alternate reality with unceasing commercialism. The presence of big old trees gobbling up the carbons in the atmosphere was neutralizing the free radicals. It’s amazing to note that BTS was built with walkways to catch the urban district's perspective stretching malls, hotels, and other infrastructures.

In Metro Bangkok, choose to zoom via BTS or crawl with the traffic
Take the case of the Asok BTS station with a glimpse of the beat ferreting out Bangkok metropolis that explains the crowdsourcing of tourists here as they choose to succumb to the lifestyle that is high profile Sukhumvit. Accessibility plays a major role in leisure hangouts like Robinsons, and Terminal 21 is strategically situated here in conjunction with major hotels. finest restos, spa and wellness centers, and even botox clinics.

Asok BTS station probably has the best Metropolis viewpoint of Bangkok.
Better reserve the rest of the touristy mode for the dosage of sightseeing in days to come. Meanwhile,  time to attend to Thai cravings when we spotted a food court inside the Tops market in Robinsons. Using a preloaded card, it didn’t fail to suffice comfort dining as the order of chicken soup arrived expecting that spiciness typical of Thai cuisine.
